Gary Adams


Steve Chapman

President/General Manager

Chapman brings ten years of professional hockey team management experience to the Gwinnett membership as well as valuable experience as a part of two ECHL expansion teams.

From 1995 2001, Chapman served as General Manager of the Mobile Mysticks. During his tenure the Mysticks averaged 33 wins per season and reached the Kelly Cup Playoffs in five of six seasons. During this time, the team also drew an average attendance of 4,396 fans per season.

From 1992 1995, Chapman served as the Assistant General Manager of the Birmingham Bulls of the East Coast Hockey League. The team reached the Riley Cup Playoffs in two of the three seasons and averaged over 5,600 fans per game.

Chapman, his wife Cindy, daughter Alexis and son Connor reside in Gwinnett County.

Bill Davidson


Davidson, CEO of National Sports Services (NSS-KS), has been involved in professional sports since 1982. NSS provides management, venue and franchise development, brokering and training services to the professional sports industry.

The firm has provided services to more than three dozen minor league baseball and hockey teams over the past 20 years. A speciality of the firm is the development and implementation of business plans for both start-up organizations and turnaround situations and venue development. NSS has provided comprehensive management services to the ECHL Stockton (CA) Thunder since June 2004. Stockton led the ECHL in attendance in 2005-2006.

From 1997-2000, Davidson was President of the Bakersfield (CA) Condors. From 1998 - 2000, he was vice-president of the Topeka (KS) ScareCrows. Davidson was a co-founder and owner of the Wichita Falls (TX) Rustlers in 2002.

Bill, his wife, Susan, son Turner and daughters Lindsay and Brittney reside in Chatanooga, TN.

Jay Gilbertson


Gilbertson is a Certified Public Accountant that has spent the past 15 years working for several Fortune 500 companies, leading the merger and acquisition groups. In addition, Jay has spent the last five years as a private investor. His investments have primarily been in wireless technology, insurance, and real estate.

Dan Hauck


Dan Hauck and his wife Cathy are the General Partners of Gable Gate Enterprises, L.L.L.P., a private investment company.

Dan is currently president of Alphagen Laboratories, a privately held generic pharmaceutical distributor. Dan was previously vice-president of W.E. Hauck, Inc. pharmaceuticals, in addition, he was a founder as well as the first president of First Horizon Pharmaceutical Corporation. Cathy is a registered nurse who worked at Emory University Hospital for 19 years and is also a former Naval officer.

Active in youth sports in Roswell and at their church, they are the parents of two college-aged children.

Toby Jeffreys

Managing Member - Gwinnett County Hockey, LLC

Jeffreys, 48, Chairman and Majority Partner of Gwinnett County Hockey, LLC has been the principal owner for the past seven years. He also serves as League Governor for the organization, as well as serving on the ECHL Executive Committee. He began ownership in hockey while in Mobile, Alabama.

For over 20 years, he was active in the family steel service center business, and served the last 10 as President & CEO of Jeffreys Steel Company, Inc.

He has experience in numerous business and sports organizations, investments and partnerships. Most recently, Jeffreys is involved in the Duluth based Hardball Warehouse, which is a youth baseball instructional facility & tournament company and Mentium Athletics, a sports management, consulting & event company.

Jeffreys has a minority ownership in Mobile Professional Baseball, LLC the entity which owns the Mobile BayBears of the AA Southern League. While in Mobile, Jeffreys served as Past Chairman of the Mobile Area Sports Commission, a member of the GMAC Bowl Selection Committee, the Senior Bowl and the Southern Mississippi Circle of Champions. In 2000, Toby was elected to the Southern Mississippi Hall of Fame.

Jeffreys and his wife Vicki reside in Newnan, Georgia with their youngest son and daughter. Also, Jeffreys has one daughter who is a senior at the University of Mississippi and the other is a sophomore at Birmingham Southern College.

Matt Perry


Perry, President of National Sports Services (NSS), has been involved in the sports industry since 1983.

Perry, and the principles of NSS, have an extensive history in minor league sports having worked with more than three dozen teams in top level management (President, Vice-President or General Manager), in an ownership capacity or provided consulting services.

Hockey clients of NSS include: Anchorage (AK) Aces, Bakersfield (CA) Condors, Colorado (Ft. Collins) Eagles, Fresno (CA) Falcons, Idaho (Boise) Steelheads, Las Vegas (NV) Wranglers, Missouri (St. Louis) River Otters, Ottawa (Ontario) 67s, Quad City (Davenport, IA) Mallards, Rockford (IL) Ice Hogs, Texas (Frisco) Tornado and Wichita Falls (TX) Rustlers.

NSS has recently been retained by the USHL Cedar Rapids Roughriders to spearhead 'redevelopment efforts' for the junior hockey team. Matt, his wife Kelly, and their sons Cory, Spencer and Brett reside in Topeka, KS.

Jim Pinard


Jim Pinard has been a Real Estate Broker in the Metro Atlanta Area since 1977, and is currently an Associate Broker at The River Club; a new Crescent Resources Greg Norman designed golf course and Community in Suwanee.

Earlier this year, Jim was awarded the prestigious Double Phoenix Award for 20 years $million club. An avid golfer and member of the Professional Golfer's Association of America from 1971 to 1981, Jim has been involved with Metro Atlanta Youth For Christ as well as working with inner city under privileged children and different high schools in metro Atlanta for over 24 years.

Jim resides in Duluth, with his wife Dina, who is also a successful real estate broker.

Tom Sapitowicz


Sapitowicz is a 1982 Georgia Tech graduate with a degree in Electrical Engineering and has worked for Inglett & Stubbs, LLC since graduating. His recent projects have included Olympic Stadium, Turner Field, Philips Arena, and The Arena at Gwinnett Center. Tom is a Silver Sponsor of the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and volunteers with the Georgia Society of Professional Engineers MathCounts program for Middle School aged students. Tom resides with his wife Polly who is a graduate of Agnes Scott College in Decatur and hails from Greenville, SC. They are the parents of two college aged children.
