The Gwinnett Gladiators announced today that they have traded defenseman Dinos Stamoulis to the Reading Royals for undisclosed consideration. Stamoulis notched 6 points, all assists, last season for the Gladiators as he was one of five players to appear in all 72 regular season games. Stamoulis also played in 7 of the Gladiators 2008 Kelly Cup Playoff games.
The Carle Place, New York native began his professional career during the 2006-07 season with the Toledo Storm where he appeared in 14 games after completing his final collegiate season at Providence College.
In 142 career collegiate games at Providence College, the 6-foot-0, 190-pound defenseman recorded 7 goals and 20 assists for 27 points. He also accumulated 108 penalty minutes for the Friars during his collegiate career.

The ECHL concluded its 20th Anniversary Season as the Premier ’AA’ Hockey League in 2007-08, the ECHL began in 1988-89 with five teams in three states and has grown to be a coast-to-coast league that has 25 teams in 17 states and British Columbia in 2007-08. The Cincinnati Cyclones captured the ECHL Championship in June of 2008 defeating the Las Vegas Wranglers 4-games-to-2 to win the Kelly Cup.
