Foster Childrens Foundation Hosts Event Tuesday, May 05, 2009
The Gwinnett Gladiators would like to invite all of our season ticket holders, fans and supporters out to enjoy a great night for a great cause. On Friday, May 15th, the Gladiators will be joining with the Foster Children’s Foundation to host a fun concert event at Wild Bill’s in Duluth, GA. Deja Vu (www.dejavuatlanta.com), a Gwinnett-based 80’s music and classic rock band, will be performing during the evening and light hor d’ourves will be served. Tickets for the event are $25.00 each and all of the proceeds will go to benefit the Foster Children’s Foundation.
The Foster Children’s Foundation is a Gwinnett-based not-for-profit organization that works to combine the efforts of the general public, area business and the private sector to identify and bridge the gap between available resources and the economic, environmental, educational and emotional needs of foster children. The Foundation will identify the many un-met needs of foster children and implement ways to both solve these issues and raise public awareness. FCF’s focus will include activities to raise foster children’s self-esteem and provide for specific needs, thus helping them realize that they are, a vital and valuable part of society. It is the goal of the Foundation to improve the quality of life for Foster Children and offer them many of the opportunities that non-fostered youth enjoy. Through these efforts, the children will be able to establish a more stable foundation to help them reach their potential.
If you would like to come out and join the fun, simply call the Gladiators at 770-497-5100 to purchase tickets or drop by our offices located in the Performing Arts Center of the Gwinnett Civic & Cultural Center.
