Lee Called Up to Portland

Goaltender Mike Lee has been re-assigned from the Gwinnett Gladiators to the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League by the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League.

Lee currently ranks second among all ECHL netminders and first among all ECHL rookie goaltenders this season in goal against average and save percentage. He has earned a 1.87 goals against average and a .926 save percentage in 15 games this season with Gwinnett.

The Roseau, Minnesota native has be twice named the ECHL Goaltender of the Week this season. He earned the honor for the week of October 22nd through the 28th and again for the week of November 5th through the 11th.

Lee has notched two shutouts for Gwinnett as he posted 17 saves in a 3-0 win over Evansville on October 24th. He earned his second shoutout of the season as he made 22 saves in a 1-0 victory over the Orlando Solar Bears on November 22nd.

Lee was drafted by the Phoenix Coyotes in the 3rd round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft witht he 91st overall pick.
